Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is an actress and model. Her debut film role as an archaeologist in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985) She went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donnevan is in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Doody was approached by a photographer and started to perform the role of a model. Doody then began to build an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody was extremely cautious about doing the glamorous work or doing nude. The rule was extended to the acting profession. If she came to the director's attention for a James Bond film, Doody accepted a minor role in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was selected as one of the twelve most promising actors of the year in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Her most recognizable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathizer and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Final Crusade. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was an inspiration for the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. After moving to Hollywood Doody was a star. The role she played was Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody played a role in the 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony to receive an award. She starred along with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody had a minor role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). She guested in RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria film award on November 21, 2018.
