Gugulethu Mbatha (better called Gugu-Mbatha-Raw) is an British film and stage actress who became famous for her role in the BBC series "Doctor Who", which is a British Sci-Fi TV series. Gugu was famous for her character Tish Jones in the BBC series. She played the role of the daughter of the main character named Martha Jones. Gugu's viewers loved her openness, and she was getting ready for the long-running career of acting. Gugu also has appeared on a number of other British television and stage productions to date. She is critically acclaimed for her performance in the acclaimed 'Belle' (2013), a British period drama and 'Beyond the Lights' (2014) the romantic drama. Handler started performing to earn income. However, when she was 21 years old, Handler decided to pursue the stand-up comic profession full-time, since she discovered her storytelling skills. Handler started her stand-up career on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving Poorly, a reality show with an in-camera hidden camera and a practical joke. It was in air from 2002 until 2005. The handler started appearing on various other programs such as Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler started working as a correspondent on The Tonight Show as a correspondent. The biggest break for Handler occurred in 2006, when she began hosting her program on E! The Chelsea Handler Program. The show ran for two seasons. In the following year, Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend as well as HBO have broadcast her stand-up shows. She was named as the host of The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in 2010. With this, she became only the second female to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
